Mallorca Island at a Glance

Mallorca is geographically located in the centre of the Mediterranean. In the past, this island has been strategically very important for conquistadors and merchants. This is considered the most attacked island in the region. Still now, anyone can see its architectural features, which have remained very influential and attractive as they were to many invaders in the past.

Mallorca, also known as Majorca, is blessed with breathtaking landscape. This feature has been very inspiriting to many very popular artists and celebrities who regularly vacation on the island. Such artists include Richard Branson, Claudia Schiffer, Boris Becker, Michael Douglas, Julian Lennon, Jasper Carrot and Annie Lennox.

As far as tourism is concerned, the central government has long been promoting the Island tirelessly. These endeavors have not proved to be unproductive, as the tourist industry in the region has grown and developed fast into one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. Public services have significantly been improved and as a result, a huge part of total income comes from the tourism on the island.

Mallorca Island offers its visitors so many diversified attractions and much more. So many venues or places have been purposefully built to entertain both the foreign visitors and the local people. Casinos, resorts, restaurants, luxury homes, bars, golf clubs, and beaches along with lined palm tree’s etc. are some of Mallorca island’s most stunning features. Moreover, beautiful scenery has been developed over the coastlines, and charismatic windmills have been set up on well decorated farming plains.

Spectacular festivals are hosted by most villages of the Mallorca Island. Live music and equestrian shows feature at the festivals where internationally recognized artists perform. Palma, Majorca’s capital, is a historic medieval town and is home to the cathedral, which is thought to be the only one all over the that’s entire reflection can be seen in the water. A lot of shops in Palma are found to be some of the leading fashion commodities of the world. A cultural art movement with a strong impact is happening on the Mallorca Island with most of the banking institutions in support of charitable foundations. Such support from the banking institutions is ensuring that some of the local artists’ works can be seen and is easily accessible during the whole year.

Mallorca Island is best suited for anyone who desires to have tranquility and peace. Furthermore, this island along with its many stunning and adventurous activities has a lot to offer to entertain the visitors as well as those people who want to settle there.
